Industry awareness has increased in recent years and it has become a MANDATORY REQUIREMENT by industry, safety officers and construction sites that flashback arrestors must be fitted to gas equipment before it can be operated
The minimum recommended configuration for the fitment of flashback arrestors in order of prefernce is specified in AS4839 as follows
- Flashback arrestors at both hose ends (optimum protection)
- Flashback arrestors at blowpipe hose ends only
- Flashback arrestors at the regular hose ends and check valves at the blowpipe ends
