Thomas Warburton Pty. Ltd. was founded in 1858 at 384 Bourke Street, Melbourne where it remained for 108 years. In 1966 the business relocated to Kavanagh Street, Southbank and in 1998 the head office and main warehouse functions were moved to 16-26 Dunlop Road, Mulgrave.
Constant expansion and continuing growth provides greater service to our customers. We now have seven branches in Victoria, all connected by one of the most advanced computer systems available.
With over 40,000 lines on the shelf at any one time, ranging from the smallest screw to the largest ladder available, we have everything to cover your industrial needs.
We offer a prompt delivery service into your workplace anywhere throughout Australia. All our branches offer fast and efficient trade counter service for the vast product range available.

Our goal is to be your lowest total cost supplier - Warburtons is a MRO distributor to the private and government sectors, with a wide variety of clients in industries such as building and construction, mining, medical, automotive, power generation, water boards and authorities, large truck and trailer manufacture, schools and universities to name but a few.
All these companies demand value for money and we respect this wish. Our company is focussed on providing customised solutions to our customers that will give the lowest cost result. This takes all parts of the supply chain function into consideration from the ordering of the part to the storage and payment and use of the part. We look beyond the price of the product and into all the transactional and associated costs with the aim to eliminate any unnecessary costs for all parties. | At the heart of our head office and seven branches are 97 staff members who are both integral to and the most important asset in our business. Many of these people have grown up with the business with some progressing from the warehouse to senior managerial positions. |

We are proud to have been one of the first of all merchant distributors to have recognised the need to document our day to day business procedures and to have put ourselves through the rigorous audit procedures in the late 80's and early 90's when we gained accreditation to AS3902. Since then the system has been upgraded to AS/NZ ISO9001:2000. |

| Equally important in any modern business is the need for state of the art technology upon which such functions as accounting , sales , marketing , purchasing and warehousing are so reliant. At Warburtons we are continually looking at our information systems and the technology in place in the market with the commitment to be at the forefront . Currently we utilize Digital Alpha systems into which is integrated such systems as EDI , internet and the world wide web , direct online dialup , with all branches connected back to the mainframe working in real time. |

| Coverage, Sites and Distribution |
Our main warehouse ( 50,000 Sq. ft ) is located in Mulgrave which is the physical center of Melbourne and is close to all main freeway links . Our current branches are strategically placed around the main industrial areas of Melbourne and regional areas with more sites being planned for future growth. All branches , while connected back to the host computer , are virtual stand alone trade service centers with a large degree of autonomy and hence are very flexible , dynamic and versatile. With distribution being so important in these times of just in time (JIT) we currently subcontract our distribution services out to quality companies that can achieve a 2 or 3 times a day delivery frequency through the metropolitan areas and next day into interstate capitals.

| Product Range and Inventory Levels |
| As a total supply 'one stop shop' for industrial (MRO) supplies the range could be unlimited. However we have focussed our standard product ranges to suit a large cross-section of the manufacturing and maintenance industry. This commitment is shown in a total inventory holding in excess of $5 million dollars over 40,000 plus SKU lines with special items stocked and supplied by mutual agreement. All branches, being autonomous stand alone sites, carry significant stock levels to suit their particular industry, geographical and special customer requirements. |

| On July 1st 2003 Thomas Warburton was acquired by the global assembly and fastening organisation The Würth Group.
The name Würth is synonymous around the world with professionalism, competency, profitability, quality commitment and customer service standards across a wide area of operations. For them to have selected Thomas Warburton as the company they will use to develop and broaden their fastener business in Australia is a true vote of confidence in our company, our people and in Australia overall and we are now part of a true global company. |

At the age of 19 on the death of his father current Chairman of the Advisor Board of the Würth Group Reinhold Würth took over the management of the company.
